Financial Controller

Job Description:

Job Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting & Accounting

• Lead the month-end close process and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

• Prepare monthly management accounts and supporting financial reports.

• Review and maintain balance sheet reconciliations.

• Ensure accurate accounting for revenue recognition, deferred revenue, fixed assets, accruals, and prepayments.

• Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and ensure compliance with IFRS and company accounting policies.

Treasury

• Manage day-to-day banking operations, including payment processing and bank reconciliations.

• Maintain and coordinate payment approvals with department heads.

• Ensure timely and accurate execution of approved payments.

Tax & Statutory Compliance

• Oversee the preparation of corporate income tax returns for Singapore and Thailand.

• Review GST, VAT, and withholding tax filings across applicable jurisdictions.

• Prepare Thailand BOI reporting requirements.

• Ensure timely completion of statutory filings and compliance requirements.

• Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for statutory filings, audits, and tax submissions.

Finance Operations

• Oversee offline customer invoicing and quotations.

• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and vendor administration.

• Ensure finance operations are efficient, accurate, and compliant with internal policies.

• Review affiliate commission and sales commission calculations.

Audit & Internal Controls

• Coordinate the annual external audit process and prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation.

• Coordinate internal audit reviews and monitor the implementation of audit recommendations.

• Strengthen and maintain an effective internal control environment.

• Develop and maintain finance policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures.

• Identify opportunities to improve finance processes, reporting quality, and operational efficiency.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

• CPA, CA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification preferred.

• Minimum 5 years of accounting and finance experience, including at least 3 years in a Finance Manager, Senior Finance Manager, or Financial Controller role.

• Big 4 audit experience is highly preferred.

• Proven experience leading the full month-end close and financial reporting process.

• Strong knowledge of IFRS.

• Experience managing multi-entity and multi-currency accounting environments.

• Strong understanding of corporate income tax, GST, VAT, withholding tax, statutory reporting, and external audit requirements.

• Experience in establishing and maintaining effective internal controls and financial governance.

• Proven experience driving finance process improvements and automation initiatives.

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

• Strong analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.

• Experience in a SaaS or technology company is preferred.
