Description
We're looking for a Key Accounts Manager to serve as the operational backbone of inMusic’s relationship with our largest US dealers. This is a key role at the intersection of account management, sales execution, and analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a key partner for strategic channel accounts
- Provide inMusic with sell-through analysis, revenue projections, and other business insights.
- Support planning through forecasting, inventory management, product transition analysis, and customer business reviews to identify growth opportunities and optimize channel performance.
- Partner with sales team and customers to execute promotions, manage operational requirements, and support strategic initiatives that drive revenue and profitability.
- Operational planning and cross-functional coordination for new product launches and product lifecycle initiatives.
- Develop inventory forecasts, channel readiness plans, and deliver launch support materials to enable successful market introductions.
- Manage product transitions and lifecycle performance to optimize inventory, channel execution, and revenue opportunities.
- Plan promotional programs to maximize revenue, profitability, and ROI.
- Assess promotional performance through margin, scanback, pricing, funding, and competitive market analysis.
- Partner with sales team to develop data-driven promotional recommendations that support customer objectives and business growth.
Required Education & Experience
- 5+ years of experience in account management, sales operations, or a related discipline.
- Account management experience supporting Guitar Center or Sweetwater preferred.
- Demonstrated understanding of the music products industry.
- Strong understanding of sell-through analysis, inventory management, pricing strategy, and promotional planning.
- Experience managing multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 including Excel, Power BI, Copilot, Teams, OneDrive, Outlook; including complex formulas, pivot tables, power query.
- Experience leveraging Power BI and analytics tools to identify trends, develop insights, measure performance, sell-through analysis, and reporting
- Knowledge of inventory planning, sales forecasting, experience developing reports and vendor build sheets.
- Understanding of the music technology industry, including hardware and software ecosystems, is highly desirable
