We are looking for a talented individual who shares our values to join our team as Inventory Manager. This position reports to the Assistant Financial Controller and leads the organisation’s inventory management function across a multi-company group, providing both strategic direction and operational oversight. The role is responsible for strengthening inventory controls, improving stock accuracy and efficiency, and enhancing customer service excellence through delivering actionable insights that support operational performance and business growth.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Inventory Strategy & Control: Lead the development and continuous improvement of inventory control systems, policies and processes to ensure accurate, efficient and well-governed inventory management.
- Inventory Accuracy & Optimisation: Oversee inventory accuracy, stock integrity and inventory performance.
- Inventory Reporting & Analysis: Monitor inventory performance and provide timely analysis and reporting to identify trends, variances and opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Finance, Purchasing, Warehouse and Retail Operations to strengthen inventory controls and support operational excellence across the organisation.
- Leadership & Continuous Improvement: Lead, coach and develop the inventory team while driving a culture of accountability, continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Job Requirements:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Inventory Management, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience using Enterprise Resource Planning and inventory management systems.
Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:
- Sound knowledge of inventory management, stock optimisation and internal control principles.
- Proficiency in inventory management systems and advanced Microsoft Excel.
- Sound understanding of risk management, loss prevention and audit requirements.
- Knowledge of purchasing, warehousing and retail operations and their impact on inventory performance.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and reporting skills.
- Excellent leadership and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to interpret inventory data and drive process improvements.
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong project management and organisational skills.
- Adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
