Oncology Registered Nurse

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Oncology Nursing.
• Experience in chemotherapy administration, oncology inpatient care, hematology-oncology, radiation oncology, or palliative oncology is preferred.
• Dataflow verification is mandatory.
• Saudi nursing license (SCFHS) is an advantage.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written).

Job Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans for oncology patients.
• Administer and monitor chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, and supportive treatments in accordance with established protocols and safety standards.
• Monitor patients for treatment-related side effects and adverse reactions, ensuring timely intervention and escalation when required.
• Provide direct nursing care to oncology patients in inpatient, outpatient, day-care, and infusion settings.
• Administer prescribed medications and maintain accurate medication records.
• Monitor and document vital signs, laboratory results, and patient progress.
• Educate patients and their families regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, medication management, symptom control, and lifestyle modifications.
• Collaborate with oncologists, pharmacists, radiation therapists, palliative care teams, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain accurate patient records, nursing documentation, and treatment charts.
• Ensure compliance with infection prevention, chemotherapy handling, and patient safety protocols.
• Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and families throughout the cancer treatment journey.
• Participate in discharge planning and continuity-of-care arrangements.
• Respond promptly to medical emergencies and changes in patient condition.
