Description
This role is ideal for a project management professional who combines strong delivery leadership with business analysis and Agile facilitation skills. The Project Manager will partner closely with customers, stakeholders, and delivery teams to gather business requirements, prioritize work, manage project execution, and ensure successful outcomes aligned with organizational goals.
What you will do
- Lead day-to-day project and contract execution, ensuring work is delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with customer expectations.
- Partner with stakeholders to gather, document, analyze, and refine business and technical requirements.
- Facilitate requirements workshops, discovery sessions, backlog refinement meetings, sprint planning sessions, and stakeholder reviews.
- Translate business needs into actionable user stories, acceptance criteria, and project deliverables for technical teams.
- Manage project backlogs, priorities, timelines, dependencies, risks, and resource allocation across multiple initiatives.
- Monitor and report on project health, SLA performance, milestones, and key delivery metrics.
- Facilitate incident, problem, and change management processes while ensuring alignment with ITSM best practices.
- Develop and deliver project status reports, executive briefings, and customer-facing updates.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for client communications, stakeholder engagement, and issue resolution.
- Manage staffing plans, workload forecasting, and team utilization to support efficient delivery and contract performance.
- Track contract deliverables, reporting requirements, and customer commitments, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
- Collaborate with technical leads, vendors, and platform providers to support roadmap planning, licensing considerations, and lifecycle management.
- Identify risks, issues, and opportunities for improvement, proactively communicating recommendations to leadership and customers.
- Support transition planning, knowledge transfer activities, and staffing continuity efforts when applicable.
What you will bring
- 5+ years of project management, business analysis, Scrum Master, or program management experience supporting technology initiatives.
- Experience gathering, documenting, and managing business and functional requirements across diverse stakeholder groups.
- Experience managing federal government contracts and understanding service-based delivery models.
- Demonstrated success managing project backlogs, priorities, and delivery roadmaps.
- Experience managing against SLAs and operational performance metrics.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies, Scrum ceremonies, and requirements management best practices.
- Familiarity with IT Service Management (ITSM) processes, including incident, problem, and change management.
- Experience working with government reporting requirements, including performance metrics, CDRLs, and QASP-driven environments.
- Strong resource planning and capacity management skills.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven ability to prioritize competing demands and make sound operational decisions.
- Experience managing client, vendor, and platform partner relationships.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced consulting environment.
- Experience supporting federal contract transitions, recompetes, and knowledge transfer activities.
- Understanding of Section 508 accessibility requirements, Authority to Operate (ATO) processes, and federal compliance frameworks.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent project management credential.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or similar Agile certification.
