POSITION SUMMARY:The Procurement Specialist will ensure smooth daily operations of On Lok's Purchasing department. The Procurement Specialist will conduct the full procurement lifecycle from initiation until closing while exercising excellent communication and documentation skills throughout the process.
DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
PURCHASE ORDERS/REQUISITION PREPARATION
•Prepares purchase requisitions when assigned.
•Assists in RFQ and the preparation of purchase orders for special requests.
•Issues purchase orders to suppliers.
•Initiates order return process with the suppliers and provides return documents to the requesters.
•Assists with sourcing and vendor management to obtain favorable pricing terms and optimize savings.
•Assists in conducting market research to identify alternative sources of supply, obtaining competitive pricing and specifications.
TRANSACTION TRACKING & REPORTING
•Communicates and tracks status of purchase orders, including ETA and shipment tracking numbers to requesters.
•Maintains accurate GL coding for procurement transactions.
•Provides order status for weekly open PO report.
ISSUE RESOLUTION
•Resolves issues with changes, returns, replacements and credit arrangements.
•Works with Accounts Payable to resolve invoice discrepancies with the suppliers.
TRAINING/SUPPORT
•Back-up support for Gee Center receiving when Purchasing Assistant is out of the office.
•Assists with training of all new users of procurement system.
•Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS (knowledge, skills, abilities):
- Associate's Degree in a related field. Additional years of related experience or certification may offset the degree requirement.
- 3 years Purchasing Support Experience
- Computer proficiency
- Excellent time management skills, ability to work independently and multi-task
- Strong communication, people and organizational skills.
- Demonstrates good judgement, resourcefulness, flexibility and problem solving.
- Possesses sensitivity and awareness of diverse cultural perspectives and the ability to work with diverse populations.

Your final compensation offer will be determined based on factors such as skills, experience, education, and licenses/certifications. The pay range is expressed as an hourly rate regardless of FLSA status. Exempt positions are paid salaried and are not subject to overtime.
