Description
Responsibilities:
Provide technical support to SNC customers in order to give quick problem assessment and corrections for field units.
Responsible for documenting all customer interactions and must implement and/or support implementation for hardware, software, or training issue changes according to approved SNC instructions.
Punctuality to work each day and prepared to work scheduled hours.
Other duties as assigned.
Travel to remote locations worldwide with relatively short notice.
Perform assigned maintenance task with minimal to no supervisory guidance/oversight.
Follow guidance of shift lead supervisor for daily taskings/expectations/priorities.
Must-haves:
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
1+ years of experience as a technician or in a related field.
Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
Basic understanding of technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and/or publications.
Experience using troubleshooting techniques.
Understanding of electrical wiring concepts.
Ability to frequently travel outside the continental US, typically for extended periods of time.
Willing to deploy OCONUS on an approximate 90/90 rotation
Ability to deploy for an extended amount of time to various OCONUS operating locations.
Ability to meet current DoD and Combatant Command requirements for deployed locations.
Successfully pass a pre-deployment medical assessment.
Must be willing and able to work extended hours, holidays and shift schedules as required.
Successfully pass a pre-deployment medical assessment.
Ability to obtain a current/ valid passport and be able to obtain a visa to travel internationally.
A United States Government Security Clearance is required for employment. Applicants who do not currently have a USG security clearance are welcome to apply and, if selected, will be processed for a USG security clearance by SNC prior to employment. Employment will begin once the USG security clearance is granted. If applicant is unable to obtain USG security clearance, the offer of employment will be withdrawn.
Qualifications We Prefer:
Associate's degree in a related field of study.
Experience with FCC or FCC General Radio Operator License (GROL).
Prior experience with Security+, Network+, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), and/or A+.
Basic understanding of Spectrometer, Oscilloscope, and/or Pitot Static equipment gauges.
Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense, or US Military.
Experience with software and firmware updates for technical equipment.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
