Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Deterrence in Leesburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. Allied Universal is hiring Unarmed Security Officers to support a dynamic data center location. Officers conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, monitor assigned areas, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at a data center location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, maintain accurate entry records, and report unauthorized access attempts or irregular activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and follow established escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, perimeter, parking areas, and critical infrastructure spaces; identify and report hazards, suspicious activity, or maintenance concerns.
• Prepare clear, timely activity and incident reports while communicating professionally with Allied Universal leadership, site personnel, and responding agencies as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
