Overview
Metalcraft of Mayville is looking for a dependable and hardworking Production Helper to join our manufacturing team!
In this role, you’ll support daily production by unloading parts, grinding and finishing metal components, sorting and counting orders, and assisting throughout the facility wherever production support is needed.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, has experience working with metal, and is comfortable using hand tools in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities
Unload finished parts from the Gemini machine
Grind, deburr, and finish metal parts
Sort, count, and organize parts according to production orders
Select and use the appropriate hand tools for assigned tasks
Complete work according to established production and quality standards
Perform basic data entry and record completed work in our computer system
Use basic measuring tools to verify parts and dimensions
Identify and report material, production, equipment, and quality concerns
Maintain equipment performance logs and communicate maintenance needs
Participate in basic operator-level preventative maintenance
Safely handle and move materials throughout the work area
Maintain a clean and organized workspace
Follow all company and plant safety procedures
Assist other departments and production areas as needed
Qualifications
Previous experience with metal grinding, forming, fabrication, or similar manufacturing work
Ability to safely use hand tools and work around metal and sharp materials
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and regularly bend, twist, and move materials short distances
Basic computer and data-entry skills
Basic shop math skills
Ability to read and understand basic blueprints and shop drawings
Ability to use or learn precision measuring tools
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work efficiently
Ability to follow instructions and adjust to changing production needs
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Ability to identify basic manufacturing issues and seek assistance when needed
Previous overhead crane experience is a plus
