The Prospect Development & Research Specialist is responsible for managing and building a strong, ministry-oriented portfolio pipeline to create and build the future prospect pool for the Donor Advisors, Major and Principal Giving, and Planned Giving programs. This will be done through outreach, conducting research to identify potential donors and/or new donor prospects, and reviewing biographical and financial information on individuals to assess donor-giving potential.

Here’s just some of what you will be doing daily…
- Perform CRM-focused business analysis activities by identifying workflow and system improvement opportunities and developing solution options within Salesforce.
- Conduct discovery, synthesizes operational needs, evaluates system capabilities, data integrity considerations, and user experience factors, and translates those findings into structured process and system solutions.
- Evaluate solution options, estimates potential operational impact, and contributes to implementation strategies to strengthen fundraising effectiveness and donor engagement outcomes.
- Troubleshoot data and system issues, identifies root causes, and develops sustainable solutions in partnership with technical teams.
- Partner with fundraisers, data analysts, and tech teams to design and implement enhancements that support fundraising and donor engagement
- Build and maintain Salesforce reports and dashboards that provide fundraisers with clear, actionable insights.
- Support Gift Services processes by identifying system or workflow improvements that enhance accuracy and timely gift entry and donor support.
- Provide User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for new Salesforce features and related platforms enhancements to ensure alignment with defined business requirements and operational needs.
- Provide training and onboarding support for new hires to ensure effective adoption of CRM processes.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Bachelor's Degree, or combination of education/training with relevant experience.
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience in business analysis, including gathering requirements, supporting users, and improving system processes.
- Skilled at gathering, analyzing, and organizing information from stakeholders to define clear requirements.
- General understanding and curiosity of how systems and processes work.
- Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce or similar), particularly in reporting and dashboard creation
- Organized, detailed, and customer focused
- A collaborative communicator who thrives in a team environment.
- Proactive in identifying issues and opportunities for improvement, with a solutions-focused mindset.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop sincere business/ministry relationships.
- Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to the social sector with a passion for our mission and values.
