About the Role

As a Travel Theatre Registered Nurse in the Hunter New England region, you will provide high-quality perioperative nursing care within a dynamic surgical environment. You will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to support safe and effective patient care throughout the perioperative journey.

Key responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality perioperative nursing care within the operating theatre environment
• Scrub, scout, and/or circulate across a range of surgical specialties as required
• Maintain patient safety and advocate for best-practice clinical outcomes
• Prepare and manage surgical instrumentation and equipment
• Collaborate with surgeons, anaesthetists, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
• Recognise and respond appropriately to changing patient conditions
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and perioperative records
• Adhere to infection prevention, quality, and patient safety standards

What you'll need

• Current AHPRA Registration (Registered Nurse)
• Recent Theatre nursing experience
• Demonstrated experience in Scrub/Scout and/or Perioperative Nursing
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary theatre environment
• Excellent communication and clinical assessment skills
• Australian working rights (contract role – no sponsorship available)
