Job Description

As a Security Officer Access Control in El Cajon, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will help manage site entry, verify credentials, monitor access points, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter incidents. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while supporting a professional environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, contractors, and employees at a manufacturing and industrial location by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorized access, maintain visitor and contractor records, and communicate access concerns according to established procedures.
• Respond to incidents, access-control alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency personnel as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entry points, production-adjacent areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns.
• Prepare clear and accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoff information in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• A state, county, and/or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
