Job Description

As a Security Officer in Bronx, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government transportation location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and assist passengers, employees, and visitors with professional communication and customer service. You will represent Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, and innovative approach while working as part of a caring team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to transit riders, visitors, and personnel while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at transportation facilities.
• Respond to incidents, service disruptions, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as required.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of assigned transit areas, including platforms, stations, entrances, corridors, and perimeter locations, to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Observe and report security-related concerns, hazards, suspicious activity, and facility issues according to site procedures.
• Assist with directing passengers and visitors, maintaining orderly access to restricted areas, and supporting emergency evacuation procedures when appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
