Position Summary

The Reinsurance Operations Analyst supports the Reinsurance Accounting and Operations functions through data validation, system reconciliation, operational processing, and strategic initiatives related to assumed and ceded reinsurance business. This role will work closely with the Assistant Manager of Reinsurance Accounting and business stakeholders to support system implementations, data migrations, interface testing, operational workflows, and process improvement initiatives.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, and comfortable working with large volumes of data across multiple systems. This position requires strong problem-solving skills, a focus on data quality, and the ability to identify and resolve operational issues while supporting ongoing business transformation efforts.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Process and reconcile assumed and ceded reinsurance transactions across multiple systems and data sources.
• Research and resolve discrepancies between source systems, reinsurance systems, general ledger data, and supporting documentation.
• Assist with the preparation, validation, and reconciliation of historical data migrations for delegated authority programs and assumed reinsurance business.
• Support initiatives to migrate and reconcile historical MSIGS records to ensure alignment between PRS, Workday, and other downstream systems.
• Assist with data mapping reviews and identify opportunities to improve data quality, accuracy, and consistency across platforms.
• Perform data validation and troubleshooting related to system interfaces, file feeds, and reinsurance reporting processes.
• Reconcile facultative accrual records and support data correction efforts to ensure reporting accuracy.
• Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT), system validations, and defect remediation activities related to new platforms, integrations, and system enhancements.
• Document operational procedures, business requirements, data mapping specifications, reconciliations, and recurring processes.
• Track outstanding system, data, and mapping issues and coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely resolution.
• Support implementation activities associated with new business platforms, operational workflows, and reinsurance reporting processes.
• Assist with ad hoc operational analyses, special projects, and continuous process improvement initiatives.
• Provide analytical and operational support to the Reinsurance Accounting and other business stakeholders as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

• 0–2 years of related insurance and reinsurance experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively, with strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills

SALARY: The estimated salary range for this position is $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year. This is a good-faith assessment of the salary range for this position only. In determining the actual salary within this range, MSIG USA will consider a candidate’s relevant experience, location, and other job-related factors.
