Job Overview

Pulse is currently seeking an experienced and motivated Radiopharmacy Pharmacy Technician to join the Radiopharmacy Team in Southampton. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a specialist pharmacy production environment, supporting the preparation and delivery of radiopharmaceutical products used in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.

The department is open to candidates with Aseptic Services experience and will provide training in radiation protection, making this an excellent opportunity for pharmacy technicians looking to develop specialist radiopharmacy skills within a highly regulated and rewarding area of pharmacy practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the preparation and manufacture of radiopharmaceutical products in accordance with departmental procedures.
• Work within a controlled pharmacy production environment, maintaining quality and safety standards.
• Assist with quality assurance, validation, and documentation processes.
• Maintain compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and radiopharmacy regulations.
• Support stock control, production planning, and medicines supply activities.
• Participate in radiation protection training and adhere to safe working practices.
• Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
• Contribute to service improvement projects and quality management initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience

• Be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
• Have previous aseptic services experience, preferably within an NHS or hospital environment.
• Demonstrate knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and quality assurance processes.
• Possess excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Have experience working within a regulated pharmacy production or manufacturing environment.
• Previous radiopharmacy experience is desirable but not essential, as training can be provided.
