Description
Responsibilities
We're seeking an experienced EHS Safety Professional to support a second-shift industrial project in New Brunswick, NJ . This role will provide on-site safety oversight during the installation of a new boiler, ensuring work is completed safely and in compliance with all applicable regulations and site requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Provide daily on-site EHS support during second-shift operations
- Conduct routine safety inspections and observations
- Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and site-specific safety requirements
- Assist with Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), pre-task planning, and permit activities
- Coach contractors and craft personnel on safe work practices
- Investigate incidents and near misses, documenting findings and corrective actions
- Maintain accurate safety documentation and reports
Qualifications
- OSHA 30 required
- Current First Aid/CPR certification required
- NFPA 70E certification required
- 40-Hour HAZWOPER required
- Previous industrial, pharmaceutical, or heavy construction safety experience preferred
- Strong communication and leadership skills
Schedule:
- Second Shift
- 2:00 PM start time
- Full-time hours with the potential for overtime
