An OPS agent is responsible for efficiently coordinating, planning, controlling, and managing the Ottawa operations. The following tasks are required, but not limited to: 

 

Normal Duties 

• Preparation of the flight document for the pilot. 
• Manual and automated weight and balance of flights. 
• Crew Briefing. 
• Manage communications with third parties and transmit information to the relevant departments and airport authorities. 
• Dispatch and manage traffic messages. 
• Follow up on all flights. 
• VHF communications. 
• Answer OPS calls. 
• Enter all services and all flight information in the 
• Any other duties related to the job qualification.
• Must hold a valid radio licence 
• File and secure flight ops paperwork, including shredding after 90 days. No files should be left unsecured. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS FOR OPS AGENTS 

• Able to read, write, and speak English fluently; 
• Work independently and as a team; 
• A working knowledge of operations and billing; 
• Eligible to work in Canada with an open, valid work permit.
• Act as a resourceful person who can remain calm under pressure, obtain clear information, and relay it precisely. 
• Good communication skills and a working knowledge of computer, radio, telephone, telex, and fax equipment;  
• Capacity to evaluate and analyze operational needs; 
• Ability to write clear and concise shift reports; 
• Able to multitask and prioritize; 
• Ability to relate to Customers, Management, other employees, and other Agencies;
