Position Summary
Loads and unloads material within a warehouse or storage facility – assists with daily activities including deliveries and general warehouse operations. Cuts and measures cable as necessary to support manufacturing processes. Scans documentation and utilizes ERP system to electronically store material into inventory. Rotates frequently across workstations to support with all Warehouse activities, including: Stockroom, receiving, packaging, and shipping operations.
Essential Responsibilities
- Utilizes hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, or other handling equipment to move material to and from trucks or vans within the storage facility.
- Drives a standard van to assist with deliveries in a local area range.
- Measures and cuts cable required in manufacturing process.
- Assists with shipments and other responsibilities as assigned.
- Follows company procedures in compliance with AS9100 requirements
- Collaborates with other departments to control material going to and coming from outside suppliers
- Engages with suppliers and delivery drivers to coordinate deliveries and ensure accuracy of product
- Performs electronic transactions in ERP system to allocate material to production orders
- Strong understanding of stockroom, receiving, packaging, and shipping transactions.
- Other duties as assigned by management
Position Requirements
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
- Work well in a team environment
- Lift up to 35lbs unassisted, on a regular basis
- Stand for extended periods of time
- Bend, lift, reach and squat throughout the day
- Ability to stoop and squat
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Read hand written and computerized documents including Material Safety Data Sheets
- Basic computer skills, such as Excel, Word, Outlook
- SAP (or other ERP system) experience required
- Knowledge of safe handling and lifting procedures
