Our client, a US-based executive search firm, is looking for a proactive and resourceful Business Operations Manager to take ownership of internal projects, processes, tools, and operational challenges.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in business operations, project management, consulting, sales/recruiting operations, marketing operations, or a similar role.
- Strong judgment, initiative, problem-solving skills, and ownership.
- Ability to work independently and turn desired outcomes into completed projects without requiring detailed step-by-step instructions.
- Strong project management, organization, and follow-through skills.
- Tech-savvy and comfortable learning new systems, evaluating tools, and exploring practical uses of AI and automation.
- Comfortable researching solutions, working with vendors, and managing projects from start to finish.
- Advanced English proficiency, both written and verbal.
- Comfortable making phone calls to US-based vendors, companies, and organizations when needed.
- Ability to work with a US-based team operating on Eastern Time (ET).
Previous experience in recruiting or executive search is not required.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of operational projects and business needs that don't naturally belong to other team members.
- Identify inefficient processes and determine how they can be improved, automated, delegated, outsourced, or eliminated.
- Research, evaluate, and implement tools, vendors, and services based on business needs.
- Work with the company's database/ATS and external providers to improve processes, reporting, data quality, and functionality.
- Identify opportunities to use AI and automation to improve productivity and reduce manual work.
- Manage vendor relationships, participate in demos, gather information, and resolve operational issues.
- Support internal projects related to marketing, lead generation, technology, compliance, billing, and other business needs.
- Develop repeatable processes, documentation, SOPs, and playbooks when needed.
- Track projects and ensure initiatives move from idea through implementation and completion.
About the Role
This is an execution-oriented role for someone who enjoys figuring things out and getting things done.
You will often be given the desired outcome rather than a detailed set of instructions. You will be expected to determine the best path forward, identify the resources required, and drive the project through completion.
This role does not involve interviewing candidates or selling recruiting services. The focus is on everything happening behind the scenes so recruiters and leadership can stay focused on their highest-value activities.
Above all, we're looking for someone who takes ownership: when something becomes yours, you figure it out, move it forward, and bring it to completion.
If this opportunity sounds good to you, send us your resume!
