Technical Sales Manager – Cutting ToolsNew England, USA - Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and VermontCustomer Facing Role (60% Travel)Market Focus: Aerospace & Medical cutting tools and manufacturing processes$100,000 Salary + Car + Bonus (20%) + BenefitsMix of Existing and New BusinessWell established patchLocal manufacturing facilities in the USGlobal manufacturer with wider group opportunitiesWe are working with a leading international manufacturer of high-performance carbide cutting tools and machining solutions to appoint a Technical Sales Manager for its New England territory.The company is recognised for its precision-engineered tooling, technical expertise and innovative solutions for challenging machining applications, including stainless steels, titanium, Inconel, ostalloy and heat-resistant alloys.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced cutting-tool professional to take ownership of an established territory, develop new business and provide technical support to customers and distribution partners.The roleAs Technical Sales Manager, you will be responsible for:Developing sales across the New England territory.Managing and expanding relationships with existing customers, prospects and distribution partners.Promoting and selling standard and bespoke cutting tools.Identifying and securing new business opportunities.Visiting customers and sales partners regularly.Providing technical advice and application support.Delivering product training and organising technical seminars.Preparing quotations for standard and special tools.Liaising with internal technical teams to resolve customer queries.Maintaining accurate customer and sales activity records within the CRM system.About youThe successful candidate will have:Proven experience in cutting-tool technology or a closely related machining environment.Strong knowledge of metallurgy, metal alloys and carbide tooling.Practical experience with machining processes such as drilling, milling, reaming and deburring.The ability to interpret technical drawings and communicate machining concepts effectively.A mechanical engineering education or equivalent technical experience.Strong commercial awareness and excellent communication skills.A systematic and analytical approach to technical problem-solving.Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.Professional fluency in English.The flexibility and willingness to travel extensively throughout the territory.BenefitsThe successful candidate will receive a competitive benefits package, including:Paid time off. 12 paid holidays, including floating holidays subject to start date.Medical, dental and vision insurance.Pet insurance.Short- and long-term disability cover.Life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment cover.FSA and HSA options.Employee Assistance Programme.401(k) with company matching of up to 5%, immediately vested.Tuition and continuing education reimbursement.Apply nowIf you have experience in cutting tools, machining or technical industrial sales and are interested in developing a territory with a respected international manufacturer, please apply with your CV or contact Robyn Clarke at Mercury Hampton for further information.
