Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Wing Supervisor / Long-Term Care
Job Summary: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to serve as an LPN Wing Supervisor in a long-term care and residential setting. Under the direction of the RN Supervisor, you will oversee nursing assistants (CNAs), carry out medical care plans, administer medications, monitor resident health status, and ensure high-quality care that meets all state and federal healthcare standards.

- Pay Rate: $26.00 / hour
- Shift Differential: +$0.75 / hour for Night Shifts (starts at shift start)

Key Responsibilities:
- Medication Administration & Documentation: Administer and record medications, treatments, glucose checks, and narcotic counts using the Electronic Health Record (EHR/EMR) system; transcribe physician orders accurately.
- Wing Supervision & Delegation: Direct and supervise Nursing Assistants (CNAs) in executing daily care plans, adjust shift assignments as needed, and assist with hands-on resident care.
- Care Planning & Assessment: Conduct monthly care plan reviews, document vital signs/weights, report significant changes in resident condition to the RN Supervisor, and assist physicians during rounds.
- Specimen Collection & Clinical Tasks: Collect laboratory specimens (urine, cultures, blood/stool tests) and coordinate delivery with requisition documentation.
- Family & Team Communication: Notify families and department heads regarding resident condition changes or transfers; participate in care plan conferences and shift hand-off reporting.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Education & Experience: Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program. New graduates welcome; prior nursing home/long-term care experience is a plus.
- Licensure: Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) License or active temporary work permit [Required].
- Certifications: Active Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) [Required].
- Core Competencies: Strong clinical assessment skills, knowledge of medical asepsis and body mechanics, compassionate bedside manner, and leadership ability to guide nursing assistants.
