Job Summary
Support Project Lead of Facilities A&A to successfully set-up, manage, coordinate and deliver A&A and renovations projects to a high quality standard, on time and within budget. Guide on local applications, rules, regulations and method of works. Ensure that all project related information is communicated properly to relevant parties. Ensure all potential issues are flagged properly and within a reasonable time period for resolution Provide recommended solutions as required to progress the projects to completion.
Senior Project Manager (SM) must have the maturity, experience, competency and be capable of discharging expectations of the Job Responsibilities – refer below. While the successful candidate may not be required to manage all the stated Job Responsibilities simultaneously, they must be prepared to be rotated to assume them, as and when directed by the management of Facilities.
Job Responsibilities
Project Management
Build consultant team base as required through RFP and tender process and ensure proper integration with owners internal and external teams.
Coordinate and build strong relationship with Owner and local contacts and suppliers.
Coordinate and establish the directed design team members and ensure proper integration with owners consultant / design teams.
Manage the project brief to ensure that all aspects are managed and maintained through the concept, design development, tender and construction phases.
Coordinate and attend all project update meetings.
Coordinate all project presentations.
Coordinate, monitor and report on project budget status.
Coordinate and participate on QS Costing to align project budget at key stages.
Coordinate all external consultants through all phases of project.
Oversee contractor interview and tendering process.
Ensure that all consultants and contractors are adhering to all necessary local codes and regulations as well as Owners rules and regulations.
Coordinate and work closely with other A&A and facilities team members and other internal departments (IT, Security, etc.) in order to ensure seamless integration.
Oversee Construction activities monitoring progress and ensure compliance with Owners regulations, local authority regulations, work method statements and all other project guidelines.
Manage /support the project hand-over and/or pre-opening program, including on-site physical inspection and defect rectification.
Ensure the Project Sponsor’s are updated on a regular basis through project meeting minutes and monthly reports and any necessary presentations.
Attend and lead meetings with high level executives.
Support MBS Sustainability and CSR efforts.
Perform any other initiatives as directed by the management of Facilities.
Drive for continuous improvement by leveraging new technologies and data analysis tools.
Leadership and People Management
Be a role model particularly through OneMBS and manage the team to support MBS business objectives.
Create a work environment that promotes teamwork, performance feedback, recognition, mutual respect and employee satisfaction.
Monitor and manage team performance by providing supervision, counselling and coaching.
Manage team’s performance, work quality and productivity to meet department’s KPIs and MBS business objectives.
Provide training and development program for team members.
Execute hiring and succession planning processes that encompass the company’s diversity commitment.
Manage team members’ staff issues including performance appraisal, administration of disciplinary actions etc. when necessary in accordance with MBS policies and procedures.
Job Requirements
Education & Certification
Diploma or Degree in the fields of Architectural, Project Management, Construction Management or Engineering preferred.
Professional Qualification and Certification relating to the above-mentioned fields will be an advantage.
Experience
At least 10 years solid hand-on practical experience in large-scale properties such as Integrated Resort, Hospitality, Mixed Development, MICE etc. Construction or A&A projects

Solid understanding of Building Codes.

Competency in implementing Singapore standards, statutory and regulatory requirements.
Computer literacy in Microsoft Office Suite applications is a pre-requisite.
Excellent in Numerical, Analytical, Presentation and Project Management skills.
Be well versed in all aspects of Project Commercial Management – Budgeting, Forecasting, CAPEX etc.
This position requires work to be performed within the Casino premises, successful candidates must meet local regulatory requirements for access to and work within the Casino.
