OVERVIEW
The Product Business Analyst will oversee the enhancement and development of the Post Trade Technology Platform, focusing on efficient post-trade lifecycle management within Capital Markets. This role involves defining, prioritizing, and delivering solutions that strengthen risk controls and improve operational effectiveness across Global Markets Post Trade functions.
The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in Capital Markets, particularly in Equities, Options, Futures, and Fixed Income Post Trade operations. They will excel in stakeholder management, collaborating with various teams to ensure streamlined processes supported by robust technology design and implementation.
Location: Flexible (Hybrid)
Contract Length: 12 months, with the possibility of extension or conversion to FTE
Pay: T4: $75-80
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and maintain the product vision and roadmap for Post Trade platforms, ensuring alignment with business objectives and strategic goals.
- Oversee end-to-end product management, including planning, prioritization, delivery, support, and continuous improvement.
- Track roadmap milestones against delivery progress, addressing gaps and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Collaborate across Front Office, Middle Office, and Back Office operations, compliance, and technology teams to gather requirements and prioritize features.
- Assess functional, project, and delivery dependencies and risks, communicating mitigating actions to stakeholders.
- Provide transparent reporting to stakeholders on roadmap adherence and project status.
- Translate business needs into clear, actionable user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Manage the backlog, prioritize features, and ensure timely delivery of enhancements.
- Monitor delivery against roadmap commitments and provide transparent reporting to stakeholders.
- Prepare and document business use cases, technical specifications, and requirements, including process flow diagrams and data mappings.
- Prepare and document test cases and test conditions, conducting functional testing as required.
- Identify opportunities to automate and streamline trade capture, allocation, confirmation, and settlement processes.
- Drive improvements in data quality, trade reporting, and operational transparency.
- Partner with vendor engineering teams to deliver scalable, resilient, and high-performing post-trade solutions.
- Support integration with upstream (Front Office) and Post Trade systems.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in Product Management, Business Analysis, Middle Office, Operations, or Post Trade Technology within Capital Markets.
- Demonstrated tenure with major Financial Institutions, with a commitment to the role reflected in work history.
- Proven experience delivering technology solutions that support post-trade workflows and operational processes.
- Strong knowledge of Equities, Options, Futures, and Fixed Income products, as well as market structure.
- Experience with trade lifecycle systems, FIX protocol, and post-trade workflows.
- Knowledge of basic scripting languages for data mapping.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies and tools, such as Jira and Confluence.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Experience with trade lifecycle systems and post-trade workflows.
- Familiarity with FIX protocol and basic scripting languages for data mapping.
- Proficiency in Agile methodologies and tools, including Jira and Confluence.
PREFERRED
- Experience with cloud-based platforms and data analytics tools.
- Prior experience in building or enhancing Middle Office technology platforms.
- Good understanding of settlement functions for Equities, Fixed Income, Options, and Futures products.
- Knowledge of Back Office settlement interfaces, such as BPS, ICI, and Gloss.
- Familiarity with SWIFT MT (MT5xx) message mapping.
