The Compliance Technology team is responsible for supporting our global Compliance partners to provide Trade Surveillance and Know-Your-Employee solutions.
Global Functions Technology (GFT) is part of RBC’s Technology and Operations division. GFT’s impact is far-reaching as we collaborate with partners from across the company to deliver innovative and transformative IT solutions. Our clients represent Risk, Finance, HR, CAO, Audit, Legal, Compliance, Financial Crime, Capital Markets, Personal and Commercial Banking and Wealth Management. We also lead the development of digital tools and platforms to enhance collaboration.

What will you do?
In this role, you are responsible for the following:
- Release Coordination – Lead end-to-end release processes for the Surveillance portfolio; coordinate deployments across multiple environments for 8+ project teams
- Stakeholder Management – Serve as primary point of contact for release coordination; align development, QA, production support, and business teams on scope, timing, dependencies, and risks
- Cross-functional Leadership – Bridge communication between business stakeholders and development teams to ensure smooth, successful releases
- User Acceptance Testing – Plan and oversee UAT activities; ensure defects are logged, tracked, and resolved efficiently
- Release Planning & Scheduling – Develop and maintain release schedules and calendars; establish clear cutoff dates for development, QA, and UAT phases
- Risk & Issue Management – Identify, triage, and monitor risks and blockers; maintain visibility on current and upcoming release health
- Reporting & Documentation – Produce regular release status reports and maintain comprehensive release documentation; ensure stakeholder alignment on schedules and plans
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- Release Management Experience – 3+ years in release management or similar software delivery coordination role
- Project Coordination – Proven ability to manage complex, multi-team projects with competing priorities
- Stakeholder Management – Strong communication and interpersonal skills; experience aligning diverse teams and managing expectations
- Process Documentation – Ability to create, maintain, and communicate clear processes and documentation
- Attention to Detail – Meticulous tracking of schedules, dependencies, risks, and issues
- Problem-Solving – Capability to identify blockers and develop solutions collaboratively
- Time Management – Expertise in managing tight deadlines and release windows
