Purpose of Role:
As Head of HR Brazil, you will lead the people agenda across our Brazil business, partnering closely with business leaders to drive business performance, organizational effectiveness, transformation, and workforce agility. This is a strategic business partnering role requiring an enterprise mindset and the ability to balance immediate business priorities with long-term organizational goals. Sitting at the intersection of strategy and execution, you will simplify structures, accelerate decision-making, and shape people strategies aligned with business objectives. The role is pivotal in embedding the "One Weir" approach, enabling sustainable change, fostering operational excellence, and building a high-performing organization positioned for long-term success.

What you’ll do
Strategic Business Partnership: Partner with business leaders to understand current and future workforce needs, leveraging data and insights to inform strategic people decisions, anticipate challenges, and unlock opportunities that support business objectives.
Employee Engagement: Shape and execute Brazil's engagement strategy, using employee feedback and organizational insights to strengthen engagement, address opportunities, and build on areas of success.
Workforce Planning & Talent Strategy: Lead key people processes across Brazil, including talent reviews, succession planning (TDSP), performance management, engagement, and compensation activities, ensuring alignment with business priorities and an outstanding employee experience.
Employee & Labor Relations: Provide strategic leadership across employee and labor relations within a unionized workforce environment, including collective bargaining, contract interpretation, grievance resolution, labor negotiations, and complex employee relations matters.
Lead & Develop the HR Function: Build organizational capability by developing talent and creating a high-trust, high-performance HR team that delivers measurable business impact.
HR Leadership & Service Delivery: Lead the delivery of a high-quality HR experience across Brazil, partnering closely with leaders and employees to drive business performance, organizational effectiveness, and employee engagement.
Leadership & Culture:Champion and role model Weir's values, fostering an inclusive, high-performing culture that enables individuals and teams to thrive.
Governance & Compliance: Ensure compliance with employment legislation, company policies, and HR best practices, while partnering with HR Centres of Excellence (CoEs) and WBS teams to deliver consistent and effective people solutions.

What you’ll bring
10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, ideally within complex, matrixed organizations.
A recognized HR qualification or equivalent professional experience with a proven track record of partnering with senior leaders as a trusted HR Business Partner.
Fluent in Portuguese and English, with strong communication skills and the ability to build effective partnerships across the business.
Proven ability to translate business priorities into people strategies that enhance organizational performance and support business growth.
Strategic and forward-thinking mindset, with the ability to turn vision into actionable people plans and initiatives.
Strong expertise in Brazilian labor legislation and employee relations, ideally within complex or unionized environments.
Strong business and commercial acumen, with the confidence to influence, challenge, and advise leaders constructively.
Experience coaching, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams and leaders.
Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with experience working across functions, cultures, and matrix environments.
Demonstrated success leading organizational change and transformation initiatives.
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess organizational needs and drive effective change.
Ability to build credibility and influence decision-making while establishing trusted relationships at all levels of the organization.
Results-oriented and pragmatic, balancing strategic thinking with practical execution.
Global mindset and cultural agility, with the ability to operate effectively across diverse business environments.
Data-driven and technology-enabled, leveraging people analytics, insights, and HR systems to support strategic decision-making.
Experience with Workday and ServiceNow is preferred.
