Concrete Foreman
Straight Edge Contractors LLC is seeking an experienced Concrete Foreman to lead our concrete crews on commercial and civil construction projects throughout the El Paso area.
Position Summary:
The Concrete Foreman is responsible for supervising field crews, coordinating daily operations, maintaining safety standards, and ensuring projects are completed on schedule while meeting our quality expectations.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise a concrete crew on commercial and civil construction projects.
- Read and interpret construction plans, drawings, and specifications.
- Plan daily work activities and assign tasks to crew members.
- Coordinate with project managers and superintendents.
- Layout concrete work using proper surveying and measuring techniques.
- Oversee excavation, subgrade preparation, forming, reinforcing steel placement, and concrete placement.
- Ensure proper finishing techniques and curing procedures are followed.
- Operate equipment when necessary, including skid steers, excavators, loaders, and forklifts.
- Inspect completed work to ensure it meets project specifications and quality standards.
- Enforce company safety policies and OSHA requirements.
- Train, mentor, and motivate crew members.
- Complete daily reports, production logs, and communicate project progress.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Concrete Foreman leading a crew.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Concrete forming systems.
- Reinforcing steel installation.
- Concrete placement and finishing.
- Sidewalks, curb & gutter, ADA ramps, driveways, foundations, slabs, and structural concrete.
- Ability to read blueprints and construction plans.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage schedules and meet production goals.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
