SUMMARY
The Shipping Associate will work with a team of material handlers that receives, stores, and prepares finished products for shipment to customers. They will also interface with internal/external customers, vendors, and delivery companies including GCM Drivers to deliver parts.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Kit, package, palletize, run packing slips/certs and ship orders to customers locally as well as long distance. Obtain certs from document control.
- Maintain inventory control
- Assure data is correctly captured in ERP system
- Plan transportation of shipments
- Maintain packaging supplies
- Assure quality packaging and shipment of orders
- Collaborate with Customer Service
- May operate dolly, pallet jack, and/or forklift in loading and unloading supplies and equipment; may operate shrink wrap machine; may operate company vehicle to deliver shipments; may assist in routine maintenance of equipment and shipping area.
- Operate forklift or use hand truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments
- Must be a team player as measured by his/her peers
- Performs other related duties assigned
Requirements
REQUIRED
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2-4 years of progressive experience working in domestic and international shipping
- Prior ERP Software experience
- Forklift driving experience
- Clean driving record and may provide backup to GCM Drivers
