Arc Herkimer is looking for a Fund Development Director to lead our fundraising and development efforts and help create a stronger future for the people and families we support.
What You'll Do
- Lead and implement Arc Herkimer's annual fundraising and development plan.
- Build and grow relationships with individual donors, major donors, businesses, foundations, and community partners.
- Lead efforts in major gifts, annual giving, planned giving, corporate sponsorships, grants, and fundraising campaigns.
- Identify new funding opportunities and develop a strong, diverse donor pipeline.
- Coordinate fundraising events, sponsors, volunteers, and community partners.
- Research and coordinate grant opportunities, submissions, reporting, and compliance.
- Partner with the Board of Directors and volunteers to strengthen fundraising efforts.
- Collaborate with PR staff to create engaging donor communications, appeals, newsletters, annual reports, and impact stories.
- Track fundraising budgets, revenue, expenses, donor records, and performance.
- Represent Arc Herkimer throughout the community and build partnerships that increase awareness and support.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, or related field required.
- 5+ years of fund development, fundraising, or nonprofit development experience required.
- Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) credential preferred.
- Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong persuasion, negotiation, organization, and time-management skills.
- Budget and financial management experience preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn donor management and fundraising software.
