DESCRIPTION:
At Thermo Fisher Scientific, you'll support our mission to make the world healthier, cleaner and safer as a Data Analyst III.
In this role, you'll transform complex data into actionable insights that support managing sales incentive compensation plans, ensuring accurate and timely calculation, validation, and payment of commissions, bonuses, and other variable compensation..
Partner with Sales Leadership, Finance, HR, and Commercial Operations to support plan design, annual plan rollouts, quota setting, territory alignment, and sales crediting processes.
Using your expertise in data analysis and visualization tools, you'll maintain compensation plan documentation, process guides, eligibility rules, payment calendars, and governance controls. Validate compensation results, investigate discrepancies, resolve inquiries, and coordinate corrections when needed. Prepare recurring compensation reports, dashboards, and management summaries to support decision-making and plan performance reviews. Analyze sales performance, incentive attainment, payout trends, and plan effectiveness; identify potential risks, inconsistencies, or improvement opportunities. Support financial modeling and scenario analysis for new or revised compensation plans.
You'll provide analytics guidance, proactively recommending solutions and improvements based on your findings.
Ensure compliance with internal policies, approval requirements, audit controls, and applicable local regulations.
Serve as a trusted point of contact for sales representatives and managers on compensation-related questions.
Drive process improvements that increase accuracy, transparency, scalability, and employee confidence in compensation programs.
Support system enhancements and testing related to sales compensation, CRM, reporting, and commercial operations tools.
This role combines technical expertise with business acumen to deliver impactful insights that support our company's continued growth and success.
REQUIREMENTS:
Advanced Degree plus 5 years of experience, or Bachelor’s Degree plus 7 years of experience in sales compensation, sales operations, data analytics, FP&A, commercial operations, payroll, incentives, or a related field.
Preferred fields of study: Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Human Resources, Engineering, Mathematics, or related discipline.
Experience administering sales incentive compensation, commission, bonus, quota, sales crediting, or other variable-pay programs.
Strong understanding of sales compensation principles, including plan mechanics, payout calculations, eligibility, attainment, and governance.
Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas, data validation, reconciliations, and financial or compensation modeling.
Advanced generative AI tools like: Codex(ChatGPT), Claude, Manus or any other super tools. Harness engineering is a plus.
Experience working with sales, finance, HR, and commercial leadership in a cross-functional environment.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive information with confidentiality and integrity.
Demonstrated ability to investigate complex issues, reconcile data, and communicate clear recommendations.
Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and recurring compensation cycles.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; Spanish is a plus.
