You will lead a small team of UX designers in creating modern, innovative experiences that position Thomson Reuters as a leader in AI and technology while maintaining brand coherence across our marketing sites. This role is critical to transforming how we build—enabling faster delivery through AI-driven design systems, templatized components, and streamlined workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the strategic vision for marketing digital experience redesign, defining design systems and establishing component architecture

  • Manage and mentor the Manager I UX Designer team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning

  • Oversee creation of core templatized experiences that drive consistency, speed, and scalability across all marketing web deliverables

  • Direct development of distinctive brand-forward experiences that showcase Thomson Reuters' leadership in AI and innovation, working closely with marketing and brand teams

  • Champion the integration of AI-native tools and Claude-based design solutions to streamline workflows, accelerate design velocity, and enable faster time-to-market

  • Collaborate with optimization teams to test, measure, and iterate on design solutions based on user feedback and performance data

  • Partner with the enterprise UX team to establish design governance and best practices, ensuring alignment with design systems while allowing flexibility for brand-forward experiences

  • Partner with product management, engineering, and marketing stakeholders to translate design vision into implementation

  • Set operational objectives, priorities, and work plans for the UX design function and remove roadblocks to keep design execution on pace with delivery timelines

  • Own schedule and resourcing commitments for design deliverables; manage against budget where applicable

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of UX/UI design experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role

  • Proven expertise in designing and maintaining design systems at scale

  • Advanced proficiency with Figma, Adobe Creative Suite (XD, Illustrator, Photoshop), Adobe Firefly, and Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)

  • Hands-on experience with AI-native design tools and AI-assisted design workflows

  • Strong understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, responsive design principles)

  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and collaborating with product, engineering, and marketing

  • Demonstrated success building and leading high-performing design teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience designing marketing or B2B digital experiences

  • Proficient with Claude API or Claude-based integrations for design workflows

  • Knowledge of design accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design practices

  • Experience with A/B testing, user research methodologies, and data-driven design decisions

  • Experience with synthetic audience research to inform design and content strategy
