Msuez Uk, a leading hotel chain in South Africa, is looking for a friendly and professional Hotel Receptionist to join our team in Cape Town. As a receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for guests and visitors, providing excellent customer service and ensuring a smooth and enjoyable stay for our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet guests and visitors in a friendly and welcoming manner
- Check-in and check-out guests, ensuring all necessary information is collected and accurate
- Handle reservations and cancellations, following hotel policies and procedures
- Answer phone calls and emails, responding to inquiries and requests in a timely manner
- Provide information about hotel facilities, services, and local attractions
- Handle guest complaints and resolve issues in a professional and efficient manner
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area
- Process payments and maintain accurate records of transactions
- Collaborate with other hotel staff to ensure guests' needs are met
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and inventory management
- Follow all safety and security procedures to ensure the safety of guests and employees.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a receptionist or in a customer service role is preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer applications
- Knowledge of hotel booking systems is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Must be fluent in English, both written and verbal.
