Position Summary
The Accounts & HR Intern will gain hands-on experience in corporate administrative, financial, and people management operations. This dual-focused role provides exposure to foundational accounting processes (accounts payable, data entry, bank reconciliations) and core HR activities (recruitment support, employee onboarding, and record keeping).
Key Responsibilities
1. Accounts & Finance Support
- Invoicing & Data Entry: Assist with verifying vendor invoices, matching purchase orders, and inputting financial transactions into the accounting system (e.g., QuickBooks).
- Payment Processing: Prepare payment vouchers and assist with organizing weekly/monthly payment runs.
- Reconciliation: Help compile documents for monthly bank reconciliations and verify supplier statements of account.
- Filing & Compliance: Maintain audit-ready physical and digital financial filing systems.
2. Human Resources Support
- Recruitment Assistance: Screen incoming resumes, schedule interview appointments, and maintain the applicant tracking database.
- Onboarding & Offboarding: Assist with preparing onboarding packages for new hires, setting up personnel files, and collecting necessary employee documentation.
- Personnel Record Management: Keep employee files updated with leave records, statutory details, and personal data in compliance with company privacy policies.
- HR Operations: Support general HR administrative tasks, staff engagement activities, and employee welfare initiatives.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recent graduate with a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of general accounting principles and basic HR/labor practices.
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word) and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive).
- High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a high level of discretion when handling confidential data.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
