The Accounts Payable Intern will be work directly on active real-world projects and initiatives. The goal is to immerse the individual into a variety of functions thus to educate and empower the individual for further education. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
Strategic Finance & Capital Markets Intern:
Review, validate and process vendor invoices for accuracy and completeness
Assist with invoice coding and routing approvals in accordance with company policies
Monitor AP workflows
Research and resolve discrepancies, payment issues, and inquiries
Assist with month-end closing activities
Partner with internal stakeholders on projects and initiatives
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Management, Economics, Mathematics, Accounting, Finance, STEM, Data Science, Human Resources, or a related field.
Must be a US Citizen
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint for presentations and Excel for data analysis and budgeting.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Previous internship or co-op experience in construction, finance, technology, HR, facilities engineering, or related industries.
Current full-time enrollment in one of QTS’s partner institutions (listed below) or a Blackstone Launchpad affiliate school:
Auburn University
Kansas State University
Georgia State University
Southern Adventist University
Texas A&M University
University of Kansas
Experience with data analysis tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
Experience with programming languages like Python, Java, etc.
Involvement in community activities outside of schoolwork (athletics, clubs, volunteering, part-time employment).
