Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Access Control Patrol in Chantilly, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. You will support access control, respond to alarms, document observations, and use technology to assist with daily operations. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions taken.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the location and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, hazards, or access concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and surrounding areas; verify authorized access in accordance with site procedures.
• Prepare accurate daily activity reports and promptly communicate incidents, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to the appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience operating alarm panels is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
