Senior Financial Planning and Analysis Analyst

📍 Location: Hyderabad, India 🏢 Work Arrangement: Hybrid – 3 days per week in the office

About the Role

We're looking for a detail-oriented and analytically driven Senior Financial Planning and Analysis Analyst to play a key role in Hyland's budgeting, planning, forecasting, and financial analysis functions. In this role, you'll develop financial models, maintain budget-related policies, and analyze results, trends, and variances to support sound, informed business decisions.

You'll partner closely with Finance leadership and business managers across the organization — bringing financial clarity, building scalable processes, and ensuring our planning practices keep pace with a growing, dynamic business. Your Role Responsibilities? Here's What You'll Do.

• Coordinate, prepare, and manage all aspects of budgeting and planning, including the income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with organizational priorities.
• Prepare re-forecasted financial plans monthly or as required by management; meet with managers to review results, update forecasts, and document monthly variance analysis.
• Draft, update, and maintain budget and planning policies and procedures that support consistent financial reporting and analysis across the organization.
• Prepare and deliver training on budgeting software and processes to appropriate personnel throughout the company, building financial literacy and process consistency.
• Analyze actuals, budget, forecast, and prior-year results to identify trends, explain variances, highlight key business drivers, and prepare actionable monthly, quarterly, and year-end commentary for Finance leadership.
• Create and improve financial processes by leveraging technology, automation, and AI tools to drive efficiency, standardization, and scalable reporting practices.

Role Essentials

• Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience, with 5–8 years of experience in public accounting, corporate budgeting, planning, forecasting, or financial analysis.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze results, explain variances, identify trends, and translate financial data into clear, actionable business insights.
• Self-motivated and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, follow through on commitments, and work effectively in a flexible, fast-paced environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage clearly and effectively with Finance leadership, business managers, and cross-functional partners.
• Proficient with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office Suite; sharp, fast learner with technology curiosity and aptitude.

What We'd Like to See

• Strong relationship-building and collaboration skills, with the ability to partner effectively across teams, functions, and levels of the organization.
• Experience with Power BI, Adaptive Planning, or similar financial reporting and planning tools.
• Experience improving financial processes through automation, AI tools, reporting enhancements, or workflow standardization.
• Experience drafting, updating, and maintaining budget and planning policies and procedures that support consistent and reliable financial reporting.
• Ability to prepare and deliver training on budgeting software and financial processes to diverse audiences across the organization.
