Overview

The Physician provides seamless, coordinated, and compassionate care to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This role involves managing a diverse patient panel, offering comprehensive medical care including preventive care, acute issue management, chronic illness monitoring, and emotional well-being assessments. Physicians work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams, participate in quality improvement projects, educational activities, and serve as preceptors for medical students. Responsibilities also include providing rapid access care, preoperative assessments, and maintaining high standards of medical documentation. The Physician adheres to departmental standards, responds to patient messages timely, and participates in on-call rotations, ensuring continuous and culturally competent treatment for all patients.

1. Board certification or eligibility in relevant medical specialties.
2. Experience in primary care or urgent care settings.
3. Proven experience in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
4. Previous teaching or precepting experience.
5. Additional certifications or fellowship training in subspecialties.

Principal Responsibilities

 

1. Defines and documents patients’ clinical problems and reaches proper diagnoses; plans and executes therapy in a timely manner; keeps records of care; provides consultation and teaching for midlevel clinicians. 2. Conducts rounds and signs out patients in a timely, thorough manner and answers calls and pages promptly. 3. Participates in hospital coverage, including: weekday and weekend on-call rotations, hospital rounds, overnight phone calls. 4. Sees patients in Acute Care in rotation. 5. May perform other duties as assigned. Required Education and Experience Graduation from an accredited medical school.
