Overview

As a Senior Test and Validation Engineer, you'll be responsible for testing and troubleshooting RF, microwave, analog and digital hardware for missile programs. You'll work with Operations and Engineering teams to interpret test requirements, develop procedures, analyze data, and drive improvements. This position requires a Secret security clearance and involves 12-hour weekend shifts (Friday to Sunday) with additional weekly hours. You'll collaborate across engineering disciplines to solve complex technical problems and ensure hardware meets stringent requirements in a classified environment.

This is a 4th shift position working 12 hour shifts from Friday to Sunday + 4 hours worked within the week which includes an 8% shift premium.

The Circuit Card Manufacturing (CCM) Test Engineering team provides technical expertise to numerous manufacturing and development programs within Raytheon. Our work involves electronic hardware for radar, missile and combat systems. The Andover, MA location has over 1 million square feet of manufacturing/production space where product is both assembled and tested.

What You Will Do

  • Support test and troubleshooting of RF, IF, Microwave, Analog and Digital hardware for various effectors (missile) programs.

  • Work closely with the Operations team and other engineering disciplines including Product Design, Test Development and Manufacturing Engineering.

  • Interpreting test requirements, developing and maintaining test procedures, and documenting test practices

  • Analyzing data to drive issues to root cause

  • Generating Change Requests (CRs) on technical issues relating to the production test process

  • Developing and executing improvement projects to increase first pass yield

  • Engagement with Design and Test Development teams to solve issues impacting production

  • Ensuring hardware requirements are met and processes are followed

  • Assisting manufacturing operators in the testing & troubleshooting of production hardware

  • Supporting production test on multiple functional test platforms

  • Travel as required

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and a minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience. 

  • 5+ year of hardware testing experience

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Masters in Electrical Engineer

  • RF, analog and digital test / troubleshooting skills

  • Sound understanding of statistical analysis techniques

  • Demonstrated success working in a fast paced manufacturing environment

  • Software skills (Labview, MATLAB, C, Linux) a plus

  • Active SECRET Clearance

  • Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
