The Opportunity

Mercura is an AI-powered SaaS company transforming how wholesalers and manufacturers in the construction sector manage quote and order workflows.

Their platform uses AI to automate manual sales processes, helping traditional businesses move faster, reduce operational bottlenecks, and scale more efficiently. With rapid product-market fit, over €2M ARR achieved in 18 months, and a goal to reach €10M ARR this year, the company is entering a major growth phase.

This is an opportunity to join a high-intensity, technically excellent startup environment, work closely with the founding team, and build products that have direct customer and revenue impact.

What You'll Do

● Design and build high-performance, reliable full-stack systems using React, TypeScript, and Python.

● Develop scalable backend APIs that support AI capabilities and product growth. ● Own features end-to-end, from architecture and implementation through to

deployment, monitoring, and iteration. ● Integrate LLMs, AI systems, and large-scale data pipelines into production

software. ● Contribute to system architecture, cloud infrastructure, Infrastructure-as-Code,

and DevOps tooling. ● Work closely with product, engineering, and users to translate complex

workflows into practical engineering solutions. ● Ship rapidly through fast iteration cycles and pragmatic engineering decisions.

What You'll Have

● 2+ years of professional full-stack engineering experience. ● Strong experience with React, TypeScript, and Python. ● Proven ability to build complex, production-grade systems at scale. ● Strong understanding of performance optimisation, reliability, and scaling

challenges. ● Cloud and DevOps experience, ideally with Docker, AWS, Azure, GCP, Terraform,

CI/CD, monitoring, and logging tools.

 

 

● High agency, strong ownership, and a product-focused mindset. ● Willingness to work on-site in Munich 5 days per week.

Nice to Have

● Experience integrating LLMs, AI systems, or large-scale data pipelines. ● Startup, founding engineer, or early-stage company experience. ● Strong academic performance, elite company background,

Olympiad/Kaggle/hackathon achievements, or other clear signals of excellence. ● Experience in high-performance engineering environments.

achievements. ● Exceptional career progression or responsibility relative to years of experience. ● Significant open-source, research, or technical achievements.

 

Compensation & Benefits

● €70,000 – €110,000 base salary. ● Equity participation. ● Full-time permanent contract. ● 25 vacation days. ● Company-paid sports membership. ● Meal support, including dinners 3 times per week and weekend meals. ● Two-week paid team offsite in San Francisco. ● Opportunity to work alongside a high-calibre team with strong technical and

Hiring Process

1. Intro call with founder. 2. 3-hour take-home end-to-end app exercise + 45-minute presentation. 3. Personal fit interview with another co-founder. 4. 1-hour live coding and performance debugging interview. 5. Paid on-site day working with the full team in Munich.
