Our client is a growing building products company in Wisconsin that is looking to add a strong Inside Sales professional.
This is not a traditional order entry role. The person coming in will work directly with contractors and customers on complete building projects, helping scope the job, put together the material package, quote the project, and manage the opportunity from the initial conversation through the sale.
The company has grown significantly over the last several years, continues to add people, and this person will have a lot of visibility inside the organization. There is a clear path into sales management, outside sales, territory ownership, or customer service leadership as the business continues to grow.
What You'll Do

What You'll Do
- Manage inbound and outbound sales activity with a heavy focus on developing new contractor and builder accounts
- Approximately 75% hunting for new business (warm leads coming in over phone) and 25% managing and growing existing house accounts
- Follow up on warm inbound leads while also generating new business through outbound calling and relationship development
- Work directly with contractors, builders, and in some cases end users to understand the complete scope of a building project
- Take a new project from initial conversation through design, material selection, estimating, quoting, and order coordination
- Quote complete building packages including post frame materials, metal roofing, siding, trim, lumber, trusses, doors, windows, insulation, fasteners, and related building products
- Understand enough about post frame and metal building construction to help customers determine what materials are needed for the project
- Coordinate between the customer, internal operations, production, delivery, and when necessary the building crew completing the project
- Help customers understand product options, dimensions, specifications, lead times, and overall project requirements
- Continue developing relationships after the initial sale to create repeat contractor and builder business
- Experience in post-frame building package sales preferred
- Background in metal roofing and siding manufacturers or distributors selling complete project packages
- Experience at lumberyards or contractor supply companies quoting complete building packages
- Inside sales experience with truss, engineered wood products (EWP), lumber, or component suppliers, with a strong focus on contractors
- Experience selling roofing, siding, windows, doors, or exterior building products, including quoting complete projects
- Retail building materials experience, preferably serving contractors and builders
