Job Description

You are responsible for

• Make a difference and meaningful through architecture and innovation in PHILIPS DR (X-ray) systems, and associated with cost, quality, reliability, manufacturing, and service.
• Lead the Electrical Architecture and hardware design, maintenance, life cycle management issue investigation and resolution, post market surveillance support.
• Experience, knowledge and on-hands ability in PCBA design e.g. MCU based circuit, motion control, peripherals interface, CAN, EtherCAT related design.
• Knowledge in PCB layout and understanding of PCBA manufacture process.
• At least 2 completed projects to deliver well functional and market released PCBA with full life cycle management.
• Knowledge in basic EMC / EMI theory and solutions.
• Experience, knowledge and on-hands ability in embedded software development and maintenance.
• At least 1 completed project to deliver the embedded software based on mainstream MCU including the communication e.g. CAN, EtherCAT and motion control.
• Experience in medical device development and understanding from standards e.g. IEC 60601-1, IEC 60601-1-2.
• Experience and flexibility in a supplier engaged work pattern like built to print, OEM / ODM for the Electrical / Electronics component development.
• Ownership and technical expertise in at least one subsystems within DXR domain e.g. Patient Table, Ceiling Suspension, Wallstand from Electrical / Electronics side.
• Present, drive and lead for the solution towards NPI, cost effective project and innovation project in global team.
• Understand and transit all the requirements from Marketing, Service, Application, Reliability into engineering requirements, project proposal, in close conjunction with system and geometry platform teams.
• Bright and talented to lead development of basic technical elements before full development efforts.
• Drive technical direction in agreed projects according to business demands and technical roadmap.
• Cross-link knowledge of different geographic regions and organizations platform approach.
• Shall review with Group Leader System Engineering and Hardware Technical Lead for the design decision and approach before taking action.
• Collaborate with people with different functions/organization to driving result to improve the quality and reliability of X-Ray System.
• Assess technical competences of experts and suppliers and use their capabilities in mechanical engineering.

We are looking for a highly professional mechanical design engineer with

• Education: 8+ years of Architectural/Mechatronics design experience with Bachelor or 5+ years of Master degree in Electrical, Electronics, Automation or equivalent majors.
• Strong system architecture thinking, with detailed knowledge on mechatronic, automation design, and other Electronics domains.
• Related knowledge of medical system, regulation and industrial domain knowledge.
• Strong X-cultural team worker, and lead technical discussion among different teams through good technical understanding of relevant technologies.
• Considerable judgment and ability to communication issues and solutions quickly.
• Proficiency in schematic and layout design software, and also fast learner of new tools introduced.
• Able to work well under pressure and defuse volatile situations.
• Self-Motivated, Pro-active thinker, positive and team up mindset.
• Good in English for speaking, reading and communication.
• Skills and experience in the following areas would be a strong plus: Project management skills and strong communication skills, Technical leader of multi-functional team, Participate in on site field research in hospitals to gain insights and knowledge

How we work together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
