Reporting to the Senior Director, Marketing and Product Portfolio, the Assistant Marketing Manager supports the strategic development of the Cheese & Butter category. The Assistant Marketing Manager is responsible for executing project management activities (performance, innovations, renovations, extensions and discontinuations), in addition to supporting the team on specific mandates. Projects and products may be intended for the industrial sector (further-processing market), foodservice or retail. This role works closely with all functions across the organization, as well as external teams such as agencies and printers.

• Salary scale 004: $73 000 to $91 200 (Base salary will be determined based on your academic background, experience, training, and skills related to the position.)

 

How you will contribute to collective success:

• Supports the marketing team in managing ongoing projects (product launches, digital initiatives, analyses, samples, etc.);
• Acts as project manager within the multidisciplinary team assigned to the various mandates under their responsibility. Supports project progress within the PRIME process and other related committees;
• Manages the life cycle of products under their responsibility: develops strategies and executes product launches, line extensions and discontinuations with the various stakeholders (e.g., sales force, production, etc.);
• Analyzes the performance of certain product lines, including market review, trends and positioning. Identifies opportunities and risks and recommends action plans;
• Collaborates with internal stakeholders (e.g., sales, operations, production, I&PD), as well as external stakeholders (e.g., suppliers);
• Manages the category marketing budget (processing purchase orders, paying invoices and performing monthly reconciliations);
• Coordinates updates to the various tools related to portfolio management (GS1, code creation, certifications).

 

The type of player who fits in well with the team:

 

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration (marketing) or a related discipline;
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in marketing, project management and/or consumer product commercialization;
• Knowledge of the dairy/food industry is an asset;
• Excellent command of French and English, both spoken and written, with strong communication skills;
• Demonstrates strong attention to detail, organizational skills and priority management;
• Strong analytical and synthesis skills;
