Description
Early-stage consumer VC firm is looking for an Executive Assistant to support its Founder & Managing Partner. This is an exciting opportunity to be the right hand to a highly networked, high-energy investor at a small, close-knit firm where no two days look the same. In this role, you’ll own calendar and inbox management, draft communications on his behalf, coordinate domestic and international travel, manage his dinners and networking commitments, and keep his priorities on track. You’ll also provide personal support across his two NYC homes, including vendors and an upcoming renovation, serve as the firm’s office manager, and offer light support to a second Partner. Someone who is punchy, agile, and unflappable, with the backbone to push back and manage up, thick skin, and a high bar for detail. Experience in finance, venture capital, or a fast-paced startup is required. This is a hybrid role, 3 days/week (Tuesday-Thursday), based in SoHo, NYC. 150-170K DOE + benefits.
Responsibilities:
- Own complex calendar management and scheduling, assessing priorities and protecting the Founder’s time.
- Manage the Founder’s inbox with full access, flagging what matters and drafting responses on his behalf.
- Keep the Founder accountable and on track, following up on open items and pushing next steps forward.
- Coordinate domestic and international travel, including flights, accommodations, and detailed itineraries.
- Manage business and personal dinners, networking events, and recurring commitments with outside organizations.
- Provide personal support across two NYC residences, including coordinating vendors, household needs, and an upcoming renovation with architects and designers.
- Serve as the firm’s office manager, overseeing daily upkeep, weekly snack and grocery orders, supplies, cleaning vendors, and greeting guests.
- Provide light support to a second Partner, including scheduling coordination and reservations for visiting LPs.
- Partner closely with the Chief of Staff and broader team to keep firm-wide priorities moving.
- Previous 3+ years of experience supporting a founder, partner, or C-suite executive, ideally at a venture capital firm, financial services firm, or high-growth startup.
- Strong personality with the confidence to push back, manage up, and help an executive prioritize when everything feels urgent.
- Agile, flexible, and adaptable, with the ability to stay composed when plans change, get delayed, or shift at a moment’s notice.
- Thick skin and a steady, solutions-oriented mindset that doesn’t take things personally.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with a high bar for quality and polish.
- Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to draft emails in the executive’s voice.
- Strong strategic calendaring skills and sound judgment on what to accept, decline, or reschedule.
- High energy and a proactive, go-getter attitude suited to a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
- Discretion and professionalism in handling confidential business and personal matters.
- Responsive and flexible outside standard office hours when needed.
- Proficient with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and related productivity tools; familiarity with AI tools is a plus.
