  • Leverage engineering experience to evaluate designs and specifications, testing plans, methods, and equipment to ensure product reliability and compliance to quality standards
  • Conduct engineering work products reviews, including Peer Reviews, Configuration Control Boards, Drawing Reviews, Design Reviews, Product Readiness, and Sale to identify and eliminate in-phase defects
  • Serve as Engineering Hardware Quality Representative on Engineering Review Boards (ERB), Configuration Change Boards (CCB), Risk/Opportunity Management Boards (ROMB), and Material Review Boards (MRB).
  • Evaluate design and manufacturing trade-offs to assess potential risks or opportunities
  • Work off-site with the engineering design team to ensure retrofit work instructions are properly followed, and all hardware is correctly installed and tested.
  • Apply technical design experience to support root cause analysis, corrective actions, and closed-loop process improvements to enhance quality and reliability.
  • Travel to offsite work location and between local Raytheon facilities as required.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • A degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and two (2) years of prior relevant experience.
    • Relevant experience is prior work in engineering or quality
  • Experience in hardware design, reliability, and manufacturability assessments.
  • Experience with quality tools (e.g. Pareto analysis, cause/effect diagrams, Fishbone diagram, 5-Whys, process mapping, etc.)
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience in Hardware Design Engineering, with insight into common design challenges and potential quality risk areas
  • Understanding of the product lifecycle, from initial design through sustainment
