Job Description

As a Security Officer X Ray Screening Operator in Louisville, KY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will help maintain a secure environment by monitoring access points, screening people and property, observing activity, and reporting security-related concerns. You will provide professional customer service and clear communication while supporting site operations. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and/or delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen personnel, visitors, packages, and/or belongings in accordance with established access-control and screening procedures; verify credentials and direct individuals appropriately.
• Monitor entry and exit points, vehicle traffic, loading areas, and/or screening equipment; report unusual activity, policy violations, or unauthorized access to the appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific emergency response procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, perimeter, parking areas, and loading zones to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
