Our Vantaa site is one of Thermo Fisher Scientific’s Centers of Excellence in Finland, bringing together more than 600 colleagues across areas including R&D, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and other business functions. The site develops and manufactures advanced solutions ranging from clinical diagnostic analyzers and laboratory automation systems to molecular biology testing kits and instruments.
We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join our team in Vantaa. This is an opportunity to work at the intersection of business, technology, and process development, partnering with stakeholders across our global organization to deliver solutions that improve the way we work.
How will you make an impact?
As a Business Analyst, you will bridge business needs and technology solutions, with a strong focus on SAP and business process development.
You will work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to understand needs, identify improvement opportunities, and translate requirements into practical solutions. From requirements gathering through implementation, you will help deliver projects that drive operational excellence, efficiency, and business growth.
What will you do?
- Partner with stakeholders to understand business needs, processes, and improvement opportunities
- Gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into clear functional and technical requirements
- Support and lead SAP implementation and development initiatives across relevant business processes
- Manage activities throughout the project lifecycle, from requirements gathering and process mapping to implementation
- Facilitate workshops and meetings with business and technical stakeholders
- Analyze data and processes to identify opportunities for optimization and automation
- Collaborate across functions to ensure successful implementation and adoption of new solutions
- Support continuous improvement and help develop efficient, scalable ways of working
- Communicate complex technical topics clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
How will you get there?
- Advanced degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience, or Bachelor's degree with at least 5 years of experience in business analysis or a related field
- At least 3 years of experience with SAP implementations, preferably SAP ECC 6.0 and/or S/4HANA
- Strong knowledge of one or more SAP modules, such as SD, MM, QM, PP, or FICO
- Experience in requirements gathering, documentation, and process mapping
- Experience implementing enterprise systems and applications
- Strong project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively across functions and build alignment between stakeholders
- Experience working with Agile methodologies and tools
- Fluent communication skills in Finnish and English, both written and spoken
Experience with SQL, Power BI, process automation, and AI-enabled solutions such as ChatGPT is considered an advantage.
Knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma methodologies and professional certifications such as PMP, CSPO, or SAFe are also beneficial.
Knowledge of French is considered an additional advantage.
