Candidates must have previous hands-on CT experience, but CT certification is not required. An active ARRT certification in Radiography and a Nebraska Radiography license are required. You will work within a small imaging department consisting of three technologists, helping ensure the delivery of accurate diagnostic images, safe patient care, and efficient daily operations.

This opportunity is ideal for a Radiologic Technologist who enjoys working independently in a smaller hospital environment and values clinical variety, teamwork, and a consistent daytime schedule. The position offers an annual salary of $95,160, a $2,000 sign-on bonus, and a current schedule of four 10-hour day shifts per week, with the possibility of transitioning to five 8-hour shifts. Candidates should be comfortable participating in rotating weeknight, weekend, and holiday coverage to support diagnostic imaging services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality general X-ray and computed tomography (CT) examinations in accordance with physician orders, established imaging protocols, and patient safety standards.
  • Conduct CT imaging procedures while ensuring proper patient positioning, appropriate imaging techniques, and diagnostic image quality.
  • Operate diagnostic radiography and CT equipment safely and effectively.
  • Prepare patients for imaging procedures, explain examinations, and ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout the process.
  • Apply appropriate radiation protection techniques, infection prevention practices, and established imaging safety protocols.
  • Evaluate completed diagnostic images for technical accuracy, positioning, and image quality, obtaining additional images when necessary.
  • Support hospital-based diagnostic imaging needs, including urgent and emergency examinations when required.
  • Collaborate with physicians, radiologists, nursing staff, emergency department personnel, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate timely imaging services.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, imaging documentation, and examination information using Cerner EMR.
  • Assist with daily imaging department workflows, patient scheduling, equipment readiness, and operational efficiency.
  • Perform assigned equipment quality assurance checks and report equipment malfunctions or maintenance concerns.
  • Participate in weeknight on-call coverage 1–2 nights per week and every third weekend.
  • Respond to urgent imaging requests during assigned on-call periods.
  • Participate in rotating holiday coverage to ensure appropriate diagnostic imaging availability.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and follow applicable healthcare privacy regulations.
  • Work collaboratively with a small team of three Radiologic Technologists while demonstrating independence, adaptability, and effective time management.
  • Follow established departmental policies, professional imaging standards, and applicable state and federal regulations.
