Planning & Forecasting BI Subject Matter Expert

The Global Reporting Centre of Excellence (GR CoE) brings together a team of experienced & dynamic management reporting, SAP BI subject matter experts and BI development professionals. We deliver engaging, efficient & insightful reporting and analysis solutions based on the rich and diverse data set available through GSK’s global deployment of SAP.

In this role you will…

• Act as the Reporting Subject Matter Expert within the GR CoE, with a strong understanding of how plan reporting works end to end and how information supports planning and decision making.
• Maintain and oversee our knowledge base, ensuring reporting processes, calculations, and standards are clearly documented, easy to understand, and consistently followed.
• Lead the design of improvements and changes to reporting, ensuring solutions meet business needs and align with CoE standards.
• Translate business needs into clear requirements for reporting delivery teams, supporting solutions from ideas through to implementation.
• Ensure consistency across reports, including definitions, structures, and KPIs, so users receive reliable and comparable information.
• Act as the key escalation point for complex reporting issues, investigating root causes and driving clear, sustainable resolutions.
• Perform quality checks on reporting outputs, ensuring figures, logic, and KPIs are accurate, clear, and fit for purpose.
• Review and sign off changes that affect the reports, helping to protect stability and confidence in reporting.
• Work closely with Reporting Partners, turning business insights and questions into practical, effective reporting solutions.

Why you?

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of financial principles and how they relate to BI and analytics
• Solid working knowledge of enterprise reporting and planning tools (e.g. Power BI, SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP BW or similar), with the ability to translate business needs into reporting requirements.
• High attention to detail, with experience performing quality checks to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability of reporting outputs.
• Strong problem solving capability, including experience handling complex reporting issues, performing root cause analysis, and driving sustainable resolutions.
• Proven track record of managing strategic projects and driving innovation plus fostering collaboration among diverse stakeholders.
• Excellent stakeholder management and written/verbal communication, able to support senior stakeholders.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications for developers.
