What can I expect from the programme?
Our Finance and Accounting Graduate roles sit at the heart of how Westpac supports strong financial decision making and performance across the bank. You’ll work alongside experienced finance professionals across areas such as financial control, reporting, analysis and business partnering.
Our current programme is based in Takutai Square office in Britomart Auckland and will run for approximately 10 to 12 months. You’ll start with us as a permanent employee in February 2027 on an immersive orientation, which will help grow your understanding of Westpac NZ, alongside the wider graduate cohort.
During the programme, you’ll build a strong understanding of how a large banking organisation operates. This includes gaining exposure to financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, regulatory and compliance requirements, and performance insights that support key business decisions.
At the end of your programme, you’ll be supported to find a suitable role that matches your capabilities and interests within your business area.
Throughout the programme:
We’ll give you the learning, support and growth opportunities to make the most of the programme, perform well in your role and progress your career.
Finance champions, leaders and mentors will support you during the programme experience. The programme is structured to help you identify your focus areas, while tailored training sessions help build and strengthen your technical and soft skills, accelerating your personal and professional development.
You can also expect to give back by joining communities, volunteering and sustainability initiatives, rounding out your overall work life experience.
