Cross Country Education is seeking a compassionate and collaborative School Social Worker to join a specialized K-12 school in Mundelein, IL, where you'll help students develop the skills they need to succeed both in and out of the classroom.
Position Overview:
- Provide individual and group social work services to students with autism and complex communication, behavioral, and social-emotional needs in accordance with each student's Individualized Education Program (IEP).
- Collaborate with educators, related service providers, behavior support staff, and families to develop and implement interventions that promote student success across educational settings.
- Conduct social-emotional assessments, monitor student progress, and contribute to IEP development, behavioral intervention planning, and multidisciplinary team meetings.
- Support students' social, emotional, and behavioral development by implementing evidence-based strategies, crisis intervention, and positive behavior supports in a structured learning environment.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Social Work (MSW)
- Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Social Work endorsement
- Experience supporting students with autism spectrum disorders and/or significant social-emotional, behavioral, and communication needs in a school setting preferred
