Provides a markets-based suite of sales and trading solutions to Institutional, Corporate, and Retail clients. You will explore a robust training program accompanied with a (2) two week rotational before being placed on a desk.
Responsibilities:
These assignments will vary widely from day to day based on the needs of the business and the current market environment.
Responsibilities may include:
Development and deployment of business solutions such as pricing and risk models,
Market data capture and display, spreadsheet development
Helping with developing insight into trading strategies leveraging quantitative modelling
Improving on existing technology involving system infrastructure, internal reporting, client/management presentations, etc.
Work on bespoke projects requiring market, portfolio, or client research and data analytics.
Qualifications:
We are looking for highly motivated individuals who can work well in a team based environment and seek a challenge.
Currently enrolled in an MBA program with a graduation date of December 2026 or Spring 2027;
Strong academic record and extracurricular achievement;
Demonstrated interest in and knowledge of financial markets;
Excellent research and analytical skills, able to collect, analyze and interpret data;
Strong interpersonal skills used within a demanding team environment;
Demonstrated proactivity, resiliency, positive attitude and high motivation;
Strong written and oral communication skills;
Ability to attentively review, assess and provide detailed information daily on multiple projects in an organized manner;
Excellent capacity to independently function as part of a team through self -motivation;
Strong work ethic and a high level of professional integrity;
Detail and results orientated.
Technical Skills:
Excellent data manipulation/Excel/spreadsheet skills including VBA;
Experience accessing data streams, such as Bloomberg;
Database experience helpful (SQL, Oracle).
Please note the salary for this specific position is $120,000 CAD.

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.
